Reports to: Education Director
Position description:
An instructor is responsible for teaching RECA’s curriculum in a manner that will create an educational atmosphere conducive to the professional growth of real estate agents.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Delivers RECA curriculum in a manner that contributes to a climate where agents are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional modalities to meet the needs of the agents with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Communicates effectively
- Models professional and ethical standards
- Participates in training and continually seeks professional growth
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education, Certifications, and Work Related Experience:
- Broker License preferred for real estate agents
- Bachelors preferred for non-agents
- Teaching experience valued
- A willingness to share industry knowledge with others
- If desiring to teach designations/certifications, must possess that designation/certification
Knowledge-base Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in subject area
- Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies
Technical Competencies and Skills:
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
- Works independently with little direct supervision
- Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve RECA’s goals
- Utilizes all recommended computer applications
Working Conditions:
- Physical Ability: Tasks may involve extended periods of time
- Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination.
- Some tasks require oral communications ability.
