REALTOR(R) Saves 48 Lives by Giving Blood

Every one pint of blood donated can save up to 3 lives.  At the Fredericksburg Area Association REALTORS(R) Blood Drive yesterday, past president Sha Williams-Hinnant earned her 2 gallon pin and saved an accumulated 48 lives.  Sha has been a life long blood donor, but took a 2 year break while recovering from a bout of anemia.  Sha began regularly donating again when becoming a REALTOR(R) in October1999 and has participated in FAAR’s biannual blood drive every year.

FAAR began sponsoring the Red Cross Blood Drives in response to the Gulf War in 1990.  From then on it has become a tradition organized by FAAR’s Community Outreach Working Group.  For over two decades now, REALTORS(R) have been braving the point of a needle to save lives and help those in need.  For all those who support the blood drive, sincerest thanks.  We’ll see you soon at FAAR’s next drive.
