The sentence may be over used but the sentiment is right on.
I want to commend the members for all the volunteer work they do whether it be for the Association, in business related humanitarian efforts, or causes in your personal life.
Since I work closely with FAAR volunteers, the rest of this blog is dedicated to them.
Thank you for your time, innovative ideas, expertise freely offered, and enthusiasm unabashedly given to the Association.
Thank you for attending committee meetings to seek out the greater good of the members in decision making.
Thank you for caring enough to worry over shrinking attendance at events.
Thank you for participating in FAAR’s community efforts.
Thank you for rising above politics.
We appreciate the time you take from business and your personal life to simply give back.
Groups that form for a common purpose are, by nature of the human condition, imperfect. I applaud those who keep their eye on the goals, don’t pout when decisions don’t go their way, and most importantly stay in the game.
Twenty years of Association management has taught me many life lessons but perhaps the most impressive is that there is always a group of dedicated, gifted and creative people who step-up and volunteer to move the Association to greater service.
Their collective good works are achieved despite the admittedly irritating foibles of human beings.
So one more time, thank you. I am proud of FAAR and the hundreds of volunteers I have had the privilege to nurture, guide and work with over the years.
